What is a Glog? Glogs are online multimedia posters that can incorporate text, photos, videos, graphics, sounds, drawings, data attachments and more.
Glogster is a wonderful tool that you can integrate into your classroom assignments. Can you imagine letting your class creating one of these on your Promethean Board? How much fun would it be to learn about Kentucky, or Newton? What about an assignment for your students? Instead of working with the difficult PowerPoint program let them Glog! They can explain it better than me here is the link for the site tour! What is Glogster edu?
BTW. I've added a link on the right!
Scribd is a wonderful utility for teachers and educators to use to share documents, presentations, etc in your blog or anywhere for that matter. It allows you to upload your documents (even PowerPoint presentations) and share them so they look exactly as you created them. No copy and paste, no missing graphics or fonts, etc. To better demonstrate how this is accomplished please watch the following video.
So, you may have noticed that I love videos. This post will explain how to add YouTube videos to your blog, the process is essentially the same for TeacherTube videos as well.
Here are instructions for adding videos from TeacherTube to your blog.
- Find a video that you want to use.
- In the left column of the page find the embed code
- Follow the same steps as above for embedding the YouTube Videos.
This would be very useful if you had a video of your class you wanted to share, or if you had a video you had found from United Streaming that you wanted to share.
